Mountain Bike Trails

We have significant experience in planning, designing, and constructing professional mountain bike trails across the east coast of Australia and have worked with some of Australia’s leading trail construction firms to hone our skills. We have constructed all types of mountain bike trails from cross country, to flow trails to down hills trails that are used in regular local and national. We have delivered projects for many community groups, local and state government clients and worked on high-profile trails in challenging locations. We aim through our design and construction to provide a memorable experience like no other for both seasoned mountain bikers and those new to the sport.

Budget: >$100,000

Timeframe: 2017 – 2024

CentralCoastAmaroo

Description:

We have undertaken many works for Central Coast MTB Club and have returned regularly as a preferred contractor on many jobs in the park. We are known most for our construction of the upper flow trail, Amarroo which is a 1.24km flow trail that instantly became the most popular and used trail on the mountain. We are particularly proud of this project not only for its popularity but because of how little maintenance the trail has required with over 3 years of constant, daily use, the trail has only needed a small re-fresh with minimal work required.

IngleburnLoopTrail

09

Project: Ingleburn Reserve MTB Loop Trail

Client: Campbelltown City Council, NSW

Budget: $150,000

Timeframe: August – September 2022

Description:

We designed and constructed a 700m beginner to intermediate trail loop at Ingleburn Reserve in south-west Sydney. This consisted of a short descent and climb loop with multiple features throughout including timber balance beams, drops and berms which catered to both beginner and intermediate riders. The aim of this loop is to cater for beginner riders, but not be uninteresting or too simple for more advanced riders. We overcame this by incorporating features including dual lipped table tops consisting of a smaller beginner side and an advanced alternate side. We also included timber ramp features that can be jumped at speed, or simply rolled down. This work complimented a broader spend of Council to activate the reserve for the local community and visitors and is a huge success many years later.

The project was aimed at creating a destination for Tamworth that would attract visitors to the city and involved designing the trail network and working with stakeholders to ensure that the communities needs and aspirations could be met with the new trail network. The project was a success with a range of riders turning up on opening day including adaptive riders that has previous been contained to fire trails that were thrilled to be on some single track with features.

MuggaHillDubbo

Project: Mugga Hill Flow Trail

Client: Dubbo MTB Club & Dubbo Regional Council, Dubbo NSW

Budget: $9.900

Timeframe: Completed December 2020 (2 weeks)

Description:

We were engaged by Dubbo Regional Council to design and construct the Mugga Hill intermediate flow trail consisting of fast paced berms, large table tops and doubles with an easy climb back to the top to enable rapid loops. The trail was constructed with a mix of onsite soils and imported fill and rocks for stabilisation and we worked with the stakeholders from the Dubbo MTB Club to make sure everything was as they imagined. The regional trail network is now a drawcard for visitors to the area and provides an economic boost for people grabbing a post ride feed or staying the night. The trails are still flowing today and have required little maintenance and upkeep due to design considerations and water management
